Breast Uplift Surgery
There are many reasons that can lead to a reduction of fullness in the breasts including weight loss, natural ageing and pregnancy. There are many individual reasons why women choose breast uplift surgery and those are explored before any surgery takes place.
We provide you with personal consultations to discuss your desired aesthetic look and we may recommend a breast enlargement or reduction at the same time to help you to achieve this.
The surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and dependent on whether there is other surgery to complete at the same time, can take up to 3 hours. We will have discussed with you beforehand the incisions your surgeon will make, and how the uplift will be performed including the removal and tightening of skin and repositioning of the nipple.
You may be required to stay overnight in hospital and you will be advised of this during your consultations. We advise you to take 2 weeks off from work following your surgery and to make sure you have made arrangements for alternative childcare and household activities. Whilst you should not retreat to bed, you should get plenty of rest and eat well. The results of your breast uplift will be noticeable immediately however it normally takes between 2 and 3 months for your breasts to settle and your scars to start to fade. You will have aftercare appointments with your nurse and surgeon where your bandages and sutures will be removed, your well-being discussed and we will advise you on any further self-care needed. You should be able to resume normal activities between weeks 4 and 6 following surgery.
Breast uplifts do not have a set price. The cost of your surgery is dependent on numerous factors including whether you also have a reduction or enlargement at the same and if you stay over in hospital.
As with any surgery, there are potential risks and complications. These will be discussed with you before any surgery takes place, along with your medical history and you will be provided with comprehensive information in relation to your specific procedure that you can take away and reflect over after your consultation. Don’t forget our friendly team are here to answer any questions you may have.
